The story about East Waynesville Baptist Church excommunicating Democrats is blowing up in the blogosphere, as I knew it would when I wrote my post last night after seeing the TV story (see previous post).
The Daily Kos has picked it up. Check out the first thread here.
There’s another thread here, with links to video of the TV story, as well as the name and phone number of the local pastor and a way to challenge the tax exempt status of the church. It’s apparently illegal for a church to actively advocate a political position.
