LYLAS: “Make Funny Long Time”

Show runs September 16 – 25, 2010

LYLAS, Asheville’s first and only all-female sketch comedy troupe, is proud to announce their upcoming production LYLAS “Make Funny Long Time” at North Carolina Stage Company September 16-25, 2010. LYLAS Make Funny Long Time is the ninth totally original production written and performed by LYLAS.  Featuring all new material, LYLAS Make Funny Long Time is an original sketch comedy show in the style of Saturday Night Live.  Though LYLAS pokes fun at all things locally and globally, their shows have no agenda other than to make people laugh.  Written, directed, and performed by women, but chock full of enough hilarity for all genders to enjoy, LYLAS is just plain funny.  LYLAS has consistently sold out performances for all of their past shows, and was recently voted one of the top three shows in Western North Carolina.

LYLAS (an acronym which stands for “Love Ya Like A Sis” and is commonly found scrawled in yearbooks or texted between phones) is collaboration between nine Asheville women.  LYLAS regulars Delina Hensley, Emily Miller, Betsy Puckett, Robin Raines and Marissa Williams will be featured in this performance as well as new member Hollis Brown.  For more information about LYLAS, please visit www.lylas.org.
