Lexington Park design meeting set

For all you artists – and anyone else interested – there’s a free community design meeting from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 6 at Broadway’s to talk about sprucing up the Lexington Park “neighborhood” around Lexington Avenue.

This “design open house” will focus on three projects:

The Mural Project at I-240 overpass and the head of Lexington Avenue under development by Asheville Mural Project.

Neighborhood identity plans including wayfinding and gateways under development by Lexington Ave. Merchants Association.

Lexington Avenue parking lot and pocket park under development by the city.

These are three big projects. This is the time to get updated on what’s going on and share your concerns and ideas. This is also your chance to tell the city that you want to be involved. So get involved.

For more information, go to arts2people.com or call Kendra Turner, the city’s neighborhood coordinator, at 259-5506.
