Lexington Avenue Brewery’s decade-spanning Time Machine dance party is, hands down, the most fun dance party scene in Ashvegas. At least that’s what I’ve been told.
I’ve experienced The Admiral’s after-midnight dance party on Saturday nights. That’s a killer scene for sure. But I hear tell that the LAB’s Time Machine is really the party to hit. It happened last Friday night, and sources tell me it is set for the first Friday of every month at the LAB.
The Mountain Xpress explains it thusly, drawing from Time Machine’s Facebook:
“Time Machine is a dance party that changes decade by hour. The event mixes popular music from each period with thematic visual projection and live photography that’s been described by party architect Marty Delafongio as ‘paparazzi prom party meets red carpet costume ball meets Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.’”
The cover is $5, and the fun starts at 9 p.m., with an hour of 1960s tunes. The 10 o’clock hour features ‘70s music, 11 to midnight features ‘80s numbers, and so on until 2 a.m.
On the Time Machine Facebook page, the organizers add: “Costumes welcome, dancing encouraged, mayhem guaranteed.”

sounds similar to the old 100 minutes of dance that started, what? in the 80s, here in old Ashvegas?
