Latta love

I got a Latta love for Ivory Latta. Latta, the heart and soul of the Lady Tar Heels, led her team to victory Tuesday night over the Tennessee Lady Volunteers. The Tar Heels owned the Vols in the first half and most of the second half.

The Heels weathered a little run by the Vols, but Ivory and her teammates, including Rashanda McCants of Ashvegas, were never really threatened. But back to Latta. The emotional sparkplug wears her emotions on her sleeve and literally leaves it all on the court.

During the game Tuesday night, the commentators kept making a big deal out of Lebron James being in the stands and watching Latta. In the press a few days ago, Lebron said he admired the way Latta played and wanted to see her. Then Latta said she cut that story out of the newspaper to save it.

Tuesday night after one play, Latta looked up in the stands at Lebron, stretched her arms out, then bent them up at the elbows and flexed for him. Like I said, I got a Latta love.
