Asheville’s own ghost-buster, Joshua P. Warren, will put on quite a show later this month at AB-Tech. Warren will present debris presented to him by someone claiming that it’s debris from a crashed UFO near Roswell, New Mexico.
Warren is an intersting character. He started out as high school kid interested in ghosts. I think he put together a couple of books about mountain haints. Then he got deeper into the actual study of paranormal phenomenon, and created the League of Energy Materialization and Unexplained phenomena Research. (So shouldn’t it be LEMUPR?)
Does anybody really take this stuff seriously? Apparently so. Tons of people are devoted to the study of the sasquatch and little green aliens. Last year, Warren somehow got his hands on what a couple of Georgia dudes claimed was the carcass of a Bigfoot. It was a hoax, but Warren got the meat and put it up for bid on ebay. He said he was trying to help the guys out with their legal bills or something. The media went wild with the story.
