How will today’s ticket sales go for the Avett Brothers concert in Asheville?

Concert tickets for the big Avett Brothers concert on New Year’s Eve here in Asheville sold in the blink of an eye on Wednesday. That left many fans pissed off about how the online sale was conducted, and wondering how today’s scheduled ticket sale would go.

Today’s ticket sale reportedly starts at 1 p.m., but fans are unclear where to go to buy. At least one commenter reports that there won’t be any online sale at all today, which would leave people standing in line at the Asheville Civic Center on Friday morning to buy tickets there.

Tried to buy tickets to both this show and the Atlanta show, but the website was barely working!

I got as far as the CAPTCHA screen, and was told that my tickets would be held for 6 minutes while I processed my transaction. I entered the CAPTCHA words, and the next screen told me that the tickets were no longer available! The website was running VERY slow, but it didn’t take me anywhere NEAR 6 minutes to do this, so what happened to those two tickets the site was supposed to be holding for me?!

I seriously was in there before noon!! Once it gave me the okay to go I clicked to buy tickets. By the time the super slow browser got there I choose my 3 tickets put in the code and then was told they were sold out. This all was before 12:01!!!! I never even had a chance. I am really let down by Artist Arena’s web browser, it obviously couldn’t handle the traffic!

Just called ticketmaster and they have no record of any presale tomorrow on their end (or the teller didn’t know what she was talking about). All they had was general sale on Friday. AND Civic Center info people won’t answer the phone. Does anyone know how the presale will be conducted tomorrow other than it begins at 1??? Having some anxiety that this will turn out like phish or beastie boys tickets…
