Earlier this year, we called upon regional crafters to carry on Asheville’s handmade tradition by taking part in The Big Crafty, an indie art and craft festival + music, food and prizes. Handmakers and craft-lovers answered the heck outta that call, making our first event, held at the Grey Eagle, a rip-roarin’ success.
We are delighted to once again invite area artists and crafters to join us in celebrating the local indie craft ethic, and this time the party is going to be even bigger. The Big Crafty holiday event will take place on December 7 from 12pm – 6pm at Pack Place, thanks to the gracious sponsorship of the Asheville Art Museum.
The Big Crafty is open to all two and three dimensional media including painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry, sculpture, glass, wood, fiber-arts, and metalwork. Crafters and artists will exhibit and sell their work at booths throughout Pack Place. And it wouldn’t be The Big Crafty without demos by acclaimed crafters, food, drink, DJ’d music, and the popular craffle-raffle!
