WLOSer Russ Bowen did a really nice remembrance of Asheville resident Henry Thomas, who died last week. Thanks, Russ, for picking up on this and running with it.
But nobody has answered the critical question — what happened to Henry’s dog, Chucky? Did anybody go to the memorial service this afternoon?

I just happened to see Chucky and his new caretaker walking downtown the day before Henry died. Chuck has been transitioning to his new home by having overnight visits a few times a week for the past few months. I also know Chucky got to spend several hours with Henry the night he died. Regina is as in love with Chucky as the rest of us. She was even nice enough to call me the next day and let me know that Henry had died. I feel sure that if angels exist then Henry is watching over Chucky.
