3rd annual 2011 Hellbilly Hootenanny at Shovelhead Saloon 2898 U.S. Highway 70 Black Mountain, NC
All ages event! $15/person, kids 12yrs – under FREE
The Hellbilly Hootenanny is a family based "Kustom Kulture" memorial/benefit music festival and traditional hotrod car/bike show promoted by "Bootleggers Car Club" annually in order raise money for very worth while causes, this year being for Children's Cancer Research.
We have 12 performing bands ranging in all eclectic genres of traditional rock, blues, honkey-tonk, surf, big band swing, rockabilly, psychobilly, punk, as well as new era hard rock. Entertainment activities are all locally owned and operated businesses including a pin-up model competition sponsored by "Hip Replacements", tattoo competition sponsored by "Invidia Tattoo", dyno dragging sponsored by "Appalachain Performance" as well as children and adult activities throughout the day.
This event is dedicated in memory of the late John Hefner and his untimely death. John Hefner was an inspirational character in our WNC car culture. John was co-owner of Appalachian Performance with his brother, Joe. John understood car culture as a tight net community. A close community whose members should all be helping one another like family. He helped fellow motorheads without expectation. It was John's ability to build relationships and be a real friend that will be most missed. Let's celebrate his ideals and come together and enjoy one another and the hobby we love as a community

Come one come all and raise money together as a community for Children's Cancer Research and celebrate the memories of all hot-rodders and days gone by past, present and look toward a future and its generations to come… Come join us at the THE ORIGINAL HELLBILLY HOOTENANNY 2011 SEPTEMBER 24TH at THE SHOVELHEAD SALOON!
