Today is officially Bob Caldwell Day in Ashvegas. Today is Bob’s first official day of retirement after 41 years of working on local television. Enjoy, Bob. You’ve earned it.
Yeah, nice that everyone picked on Bob’s faults for their "tributes." That’s all fine for "inside baseball" (as a former news director would derisively call it) discussions amongst his co-workers, but for that to be the part of themselves and of Bob they want to use to send him out into the world seems a bit strange.
And, RLA, my guess is Greiner still doesn’t have enough "glitz" for this market.

Neither Jay or Victoria were working for Bob’s last two days?
Oh, but Victoria could call in from Michigan to say over and over again how slow Bob was.
How nice.

Wonder where veteran WLOS emp Sherrill Barber was for the sendoff? For Bob’s hour long special I was expecting Hoyt Harris, Ken Bostic, Tom Sweeney, Jon Greiner, etc…oh well… Good luck Bob…

I was watching the news this morning on WLOS and about had a stroke. They cut to a commercial and guess who the new Auto Advantage pitchman was? Bob Caldwell. Didn’t take long, did it?
