From WSPA:

Despite laying in a hospital bed, Kristy Thornbrew looks pretty good for having been stranded for days on a rugged North Carolina mountain.

With a pack of fresh berries and a Diet Mountain Dew, the 28-year-old woman, determined to see a sunrise from atop a mountain, took off early Monday morning in a miniskirt, hooded sweatshirt, and tennis shoes

“My friend said it’s one turn, through the gate, and follow the trail to the top [of the mountain],” Thornbrew said Friday morning.

But on her ascent up the mountain, Thornbrew slipped and tumbled hundreds of feet down the mountain in southeastern Buncombe County. That was around 7:00 a.m. Monday.

“The next time I opened my eyes, it was 7:00 p.m Monday!” Thornbrew explained.

Thornbrew said she was unconscious for a dozen hours, and when she woke up, she didn’t know where she was. So, she started walking. And walking. And walking … until she saw her second sunrise.
