Freeskool Asheville: Classes for you, by you

Share

Have you guys heard of Freeskool Asheville? It sounds pretty darn cool. Loyal reader Ami pointed me to it. I can’t explain it any better than they do:

In a nutshell, Freeskool Asheville is a teaching and learning network by and for the community.  There is no physical school, center, institution, or corporation involved. Teachers (like you) find space and put on free classes for community members (like you); this website provides the tools to create classes and get the word out.  If you’d like to learn more, please check out the About Freeskool page.

Check out the calendar to see what great classes are being offered. If you think the calendar is missing something, consider teaching a class.

The group is looking for teachers and facilitators to add to their list. Recently, there were classes on the Arabic alphabet, making a vermiculture system and Spanish conversation.

Anybody know who is helping organize Freeskool Asheville?
