Freaks, bootleggers and hotrod lovers will descend upon West Asheville for Hellbilly Hootenanny

This event intrigues me. Press release:

The First Annual Hellbilly Hootenanny right here in Asheville! Saturday September 26th, “Whipporwill Run”, will be a tour of Thunder Road Filming sites & live music!

Sunday September 27th (Haywood Road Event) will include an all day car show (Pre- ’68, no muscle cars), as well as some great bands (The Go Devils, Section 8, Tommy Ray & the Ray Guns, Pierce Edens, Sammy Guns, & The Mad Tea Party), Pin Up Contest, Tattoo Competition, Local Tattoo Artists from Freaks and Geeks Tattoo Sideshow, Piercings by Diamond Thieves, Lowbrow Art Show, Food & Beverages from Tolliver’s Irish Pub, & Vendors of all sorts!

Admission is $10.00 per person, kids 12 & under are free! Car registration is $20.00 and includes 1 passenger. Schedule and Events still in the works folks- but of course we’ll keep ya posted! There will be all kinds of great stuff autioned off to raise money to provide bullet proof vests for APD’s canines as well!
