Indie folk band Frau Eva is coming to Asheville to play the Garage on July 7. Check ’em out. They’ve got a moody, atmospheric sound that I dig.
From their press kit:
Frau Eva is the combined powers of Vanessa Degrassi, David Klinger, and Ben Usie. Originating in DC, Frau Eva play a heavily-arranged indie folk rock with delay-laden guitar, keys, flugelhorn, flute, dramatic percussion, and harmonies, creating a sound in the vein of St Vincent, Grizzly Bear, Beach House, and Elliott Smith. The band will be touring this summer in supprt of their new EP, to be released on July 6, 2009.
