So here’s the story in a nutshell: Asheville City Councilman Cecil Bothwell calls old political nemesis Joe Dunn (a former city councilman) and leaves a voice mail message calling Dunn full of sh*t for a letter to the editor Dunn wrote the Asheville Citizen-Times.
The audio falls into the hands of former talk radio show host Matt Mittan, who posts an edited version of the message that makes it sound like Bothwell, unhinged, is just calling anyoldbody. Blogger Jason Bugg calls Mittan out for not posting the entire audio.
Bugg has the audio and a link to the letter to the editor that started it all. Pretty funny to listen to Cecil go off. And you can follow Mittan’s response on Facebook.

Jason Bugg is a particularly unreliable source. He is a liar, a serial liar, who distorts, exaggerates and willfully misrepresents statements and events in order to attack those whose opinions he dislikes.
He is unfortunately locked in adolescence and often exhibits behavior typical of a bully.
But instead of crafting a skillful argument he uses puerile vulgarities –poop and penises—thinking, I seems, in his typically juvenile style, that mention of sexual organs and bodily excretions wield some force in making his point. In this post he has written especially odiously of an imagined “Kardashian black penis.”
Really, grow up!
