The former location of Loretta’s restaurant on Patton Avenue in downtown Asheville is getting a major overhaul. Construction crews have gutted the inside at ground level, and it appears that they’re working on the second floor, too. Glazer Architecture is apparently doing the work, judging by a big sign in the window. Should be interesting – Glazer Architecture is one of Asheville’s premier firms, specializing in sustainability, green building and and historic preservation of buildings.

Jeanie,
The butcher shop is opening on Charlotte St beside Blue Water Seafood….I saw their sign in the window the other day. I think it is called The Chop Shop. I can't wait for that to open up, super cool!!
Darn, I was hoping for another chocolate shop.
Is that the place where a butcher shop opening? A girl from the Cucina deli told me she was opening a butcher with local meats somewhere over there.
Jason-My understanding is that the space that was Loretta's will be nothing more than a foyer and stairwell leading to the apartment that is upstairs. There may also be some additional storage space in the rear for the skate shop.
