From seattleweekly.com. Hannah Raskin is the award-winning former food writer for the Mountain Xpress:
A couple weeks ago, Jason Sheehan broke Seattle’s heart by announcing he’d be moving to the East Coast at the end of March for very noble, selfless family reasons. Today our hearts are lifted a bit with word that Hanna Raskin, the esteemed food critic at our sister paper The Dallas Observer, has accepted a transfer to Seattle to fill Sheehan’s sizable galoshes.

You people are ignorant. When Hanna was here she was awarded top food column in the country by the the American Food Journalists association beating out two writers from the Washington Post. She beat two writers from the Washington Post writing for the Mountain Express. In Dallas she was nominated for a James Beard award, the highest award for food writing in America. You people are stupid Hanna haters because she put down your favorite crappy restaurant. Good luck in Seattle Hanna, we miss you.
I really hope Seattle has a ham poisoning scare from 1902 to write about on a weekend that exciting new places to actually, you know, eat are opening.
But who's going to write about the typography on the menus and as little as possible about the food in Dallas now?
esteemed? wow.
May Seattle choke on her. I found her food writing uninformative and bland.
