Two artists, Ricki and Damaris Pierce, have been sculpting structures and gardens on the half-acre lot since 1999. Ricki works with rocks. Damaris works with plants. Every spring for the past several years, the couple has opened Wamboldtopia to the public for a tour. It is a magical place.
Here’s the message from Ricki and Damaris:
It is with a heavy heart that we, Ricki & Damaris, are offering our Kingdom for sale at this time. We are so grateful for the years of creating, enjoying, sharing with community and being a part of West Asheville that we couldn’t have dreamed up any better. Thanks to all of you who have supported us, your love and kind attention have been the icing on the cake.
We are looking not just for a buyer for Wamboldtopia but someOne, or an organization, who will continue the creative flow and hopefully share with community, if only occasionally, this place and lifestyle that have had impact near and far. Please join us in holding this vision of a perfect match, conceived in heaven but made right. here.
For more information or to schedule a showing ow Wamboldtopia go here.
Here’s a photo gallery of photos I shot about a year ago when I toured Wamboldtopia.

I saw this story on WLOS. They’ve created a beautiful place. Sorry that their partnership is coming to an end, but I hope the place sells quickly for them.
Someone loves to use the HDR filter.
