Here’s the Facebook update from Flashville, Asheville’s flash mob organizer:
Ok, ladies and gentlemen, here is the official final update. There will be a water gun fight on Thursday, January 28th at 4 PM. Bring a small squirt gun and lots of energy. We will be meeting in Pitchard Park in Downtown Asheville where you will be filled in on the game. The event will last for about 3 to 5 minutes to allow maximum fun. There will be an after party at an as of yet undisclosed location, where you will have a chance to meet the minds behind the disaster known as Flashville. Again, the meeting time will be at 4 PM. Bring as many friends as you can. Remember folks, this is about you, you’ll want to remember this day for years to come so bring cameras, cellphone, and video cameras even if you don’t plan on getting wet. It will be an event to remember, so be sure to capture the memories! “Like” this if you plan on attending.
Event Thursday, January 28th, 4 PM.
Sounds like fun! And here’s more about anyone planning to photo the event:
Dear Flashville Camera Team,
Our first mission is upon us. The mission will be on Thursday, January 28th at 4:00 pm, at Pritchard Park, downtown
Asheville. Please reply to this message if you will be able to attend and film the event. Just film from your own perspective, and I’m hoping some of you will also come to the after party to get a bit of footage there also. Just do what you can.
If you want your footage in the final video, please get it to us by Monday, Feb 1st. The best way to get the footage to us, is to use an upload service. My recommendation would be to go to www.megaupload.com, upload it there and send me the download link. Mega upload allows for a file size of 1gb to be uploaded so you shouldn’t have any trouble. If you do run into any trouble please e-mail me here and i will help you in any way possible. Don’t forget to reply to let me know you are going to be filming. Thank you very much and Have fun!
The Flashville Team

Wow, two day’s notice for a "flash mob."
