From the Charlotte Observer:
Federal prosecutors are seeking roughly $7 million worth of privately made coins issued by a group that sought to establish a currency to rival the U.S. dollar.
A forfeiture trial is scheduled to resume Monday in Statesville. The government is seeking the coins, known as Liberty Dollars, from Bernard von NotHaus, of Evansville, Ind.
The trial is in North Carolina because the group was particularly active in the Asheville area.

Eat the Rich – eh, Johnny?
Well I'm not giving the Fed's any of my AVL Liberty Dollars…
I'm hoping the best for Kevin but the potential outcomes look bleak at this point… I certainly think calling him a domestic terrorist is going a little far. Anyone who knew Kevin can say he was a zealot, but a domestic terrorist? No way.
The Fed can bite me.
