What’s being called a major national report on the environmental impact of the paper industry will be released tomorrow, and three of the enviro groups that helped put the report together are right here in Ashvegas – Environmental Paper Network, Dogwood Alliance and Green Press Initiative.
Here’s part of the media advisory:
The Environmental Paper Network, a diverse group of environmental organizations joined together to support socially and environmentally sustainable transformations within the pulp and paper industry, will hold a media teleconference to release “The State of the Paper Industry: Monitoring the Indicators of Environmental Performance.”
The report addresses recycling, fiber sourcing, consumption, paper production, and the paper industry’s impact on communities and the climate crisis. Speakers from various members of the Environmental Paper Network Community will discuss report findings, worldwide implications of the paper industry, and a common vision for the transformation of the industry.
So watch for this. Should be some interesting findings.
