The Day in the Life of Ashvegas project lives on. The photo project, carried out by a host of local shutterbugs connected through the photo-sharing web site flickr.com back in April, was put up for display at Pack Memorial Library and the photos were donated to the library’s online North Carolina photo collection. The photo project is also the subject of a feature story in the current issue of Bold Life magazine on stands around town right now.
Here’s what Tammy Silver of Pack Memorial Library told us about what you can find online:
We have all the DILOA pictures added to the library database. You can go here. and search by “creator” (last name, first name). You’ll find one record per photographer with all their photos attached to the record. You can also search by subject, but you’ll have to read the record and click on the referenced link to get the individual picture. Let us know if you see any problems with records – we want it to be right, so we’d appreciate the feedback.
Is there another DILOA coming up in the fall? The last display was very popular and we got a lot of great photos for our collection, so we’d be happy to dive in for another round if the opportunity appears.
Thank you, Tammy, for working with us and displaying our photos! Yes, photogs around town are anxious to get a fall DILOA project planned. We’ll let you know as soon as we have everything hammered out.
