The new Whole Foods Market on Tunnel Road in Asheville has been giving local residents sneak peek tours the past few days, and on Friday, it invited the local media in. Check out the photo gallery to get a glimpse of the massive new grocery store on Asheville’s east side.

The store will officially open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. There will be a “bread breaking” ceremony at 8:45 a.m. that will include Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer and a performance by the Hillcrest High Steppin’ ensemble.

Folks who show up can have a chance to win one of 100 gift cards valued at between $5 and $500. (You have to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to be entered in the drawing.) Fishmongers will be cutting whole, wild Alaskan Coho salmon to order in the parking lot at $5.99 a pound while supplies last.

A few more features of the store, according to a Whole Foods press release:

-The Tunnel Road Tap Haus, a second-story beer garden, has eight taps pouring local beer and kombucha.

-A coffee bar with menu options including espress0, fresh- and cold-brewed coffees, juices and made-in-store gelato and sorbet.

-A walk-in beer cooler and 12-tap growler filling station.

-Eat-in or to-go options from the prepared foods department, including all-organic salad bar and pizza station.

-Full-service seafood and meat departments, the latter featuring pasture-raised beef from local supplier Hickory Nut Gap Farm.
