Dennis Kucinich loves Ashvegas

An adoring crowd of more than 200 people welcomed U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a candidate for president, to Malaprop’s on Sunday night in downtown Ashvegas. He was greated with chants of “Impeach Cheney” and “Ku-cin-ich.” Those who couldn’t get inside pressed up against Malaprop’ windows to catch a glimpse and hear him speak.

Kucinich, running a good 40 minutes late, said he was awed by the energy, the love, he felt in the room full of supporters. He talked about why he was running, answered a couple of questions and then headed next door to make an appearance with Ani DiFranco, who was playing a concert at the Wolfe Auditorium.
