De-construction site continues at New Belgium’s Asheville brewery site

Here’s the latest site update from New Belgium Brewing regarding work on the site of its new Asheville brewery on Craven Street:

SITE UPDATES: April 29-May 11, 2013

Anticipated Neighborhood Traffic Impact:
Week of April 29-May 3: None + No work is scheduled for Saturday, May 4
Week of May 6-11: None anticipated as of today, will update as needed.

Anticipated Site Work April 29-May 3:
Stormwater/Erosion Control silt fence repair and removal of remaining fire damaged materials. Trenching equipment, skidsteers, track hoe, and dump trucks will be used to complete this work.
Begin off-site transport of salvage materials which will require sporadic semi-truck moving on and off-site.
Continued deconstruction, salvage, recycling, and demolition of existing structures.

Anticipated Site Work May 6-11:
Continued deconstruction, salvage, demolition, and recycling of existing buildings. This work will include mobilization of heavy equipment such as all-terrain forklifts and man lifts. Gas-powered saws and hand tools will be used to perform this work.
Off-site transport of salvage materials will require sporadic semi-truck in the area.

Anticipated Site Work Outlook for May 12-25:
Continued deconstruction, salvage, demolition and recycling of existing buildings. The work will include mobilization of heavy equipment such as a mobile crane and a jack hammer to remove concrete.
Off-site transport of salvage materials will require sporadic semi-truck in the area.
