This is a interesting Facebook post by former Asheville City Councilman Bryan Freeborn. I’m posting it here just to make folks aware.
Here’s Freeborn:
it appears that the old plans to widen very rural part of Leicester Highway to four lanes are once again moving forward. Check out Bryan’s Facebook page to read the rest. Does anyone have any more details on these plans? Here’s the most recent mention of outer belt construction for Asheville.

SpeckledHen gets my vote for being right on target!
How ’bout they try to solve the traffic problems at Leicester Highway and Patton Avenue before they invite more traffic further north?
