Cold Mountain Winter Ale in the tanks

Share

That’s right, folks. The best winter beer in the mountains, and perhaps my favorite beer period, is being brewed as we speak.

That would be Highland Brewing Company’s Cold Mountain Winter Ale. We can’t wait. Each year, the recipe changes slightly to keep us guessing the exact ingredients. Yum! The past couple of years, the brew has been simply awesome.

Last year, as you’ll recall, the release was delayed a bit by the move of Highland’s brewery. There should be no such extra wait this year.

Cold Mountain, as you know, has become so popular that folks pre-order bottles and cases, thus making the beer increasingly difficult to find. Trust that this year will be no different. Keep your eyes peeled for the release date, and we’ll do the same.

And get ready to quaff some awesome brew.

Hurrah! I still have a bottle from the case of Cold Mountain Ale that I WON from you last year in the basement. I’ve been saving it for a comparison test with this year’s brew. Plus I hear it ages beautifully.

I believe last year’s bet hinged around the election and concerned Mr. Shuler, now Rep. Shuler! Wanna bet again?
