FLAT ROCK — A street in a new Flat Rock neighborhood could become a Carolina compound.
UNC basketball coach Roy Williams bought three lots in the Berwick Downs development, and his top assistant, Joe Holladay, bought a lot on the same street.
The 38-lot development is next to Kenmure and on the golf course but is not a part of Kenmure, said H. Lee King, Kenmure’s managing partner.
It was logical that the Hall of Fame basketball coach would buy property in Flat Rock on the golf course. An avid golfer, Williams has been an investor in Kenmure Enterprises since 1993, along with Dean Smith and former UNC player Eddie Fogler. His wife’s parents live in Mills River.
