Looks like Club 828 is planning to rock some faces off with a new sound system. The club is also promising to book a greater diversity of music. From Club 828’s website:

Club 828 promises to bring in a more diverse atmosphere to compliment their previously electronic driven performances. After undergoing drastic changes in the sound through the recent installation of custom-built sound treatment as well as the re-calibration of their sound system, future plans focus on booking a wider variety of acts.

“We want to see people dancing to an eclectic mix of music performed by some of the finest. We expect to hear rock, funk, pop, and anything that gets people moving” says Club 828’s in house sound engineer Nick Knapp, “Asheville’s got talent and Club 828 is opening up as the number one outlet to show it off.”

It looks like people check out the new vibe with Club 828’s upcoming metal showcase on July 22. Local metal bands From a Dig, Built to Fall and From the Ashes will be thrashing it out.
