Changes at WLOS

Share

Loyal reader Bmac tell us that Susan Mundy is the next WLOSer to be leaving the station. Susan has been a steady constant at the station for long time. We’ve appreciated he friendly demeanor and her straight, no-frills presentation of the news. We’ll miss her.

Speaking of being missed, WLOSers said goodbye to Bob Caldwell Friday night. A lot of WLOSers went out to McCormick Field with Bob for Bob Caldwell Night at the park. Despite the dreary rain, Bob good-heartedly signed autographs and laughed with old friends. We did not see Darcel or Larry. Were they there? We’ll post a picture if someone will send us one.

The other big change at WLOS, according to our Ashvegas readers, is that WLOS is working on adding a 10 p.m. news show on WMYA, which is operated by WLOS. They call it My40 because its UHF channel 40, but on local cable it’s channel 9. WLOS is looking to add positions for this newscast, our sources say.

So, that’s what we know right now. Anything else?

From what I hear she’s planning on being a stay-at-home mom.

Is Susan leaving on her own terms? Personally, I think she’s one of the better anchors (especially for AM news) at WLOS. Good Luck Susan.
