This video illustrates our problem on I-40: a rockslide (versus a soil slide) is instantaneous, there is no warning. The crews working on I-40 are currently under, and on top of, a similar mass many times larger. It makes the work very meticulous, time-consuming and expensive.

Well we got two routes shut down. A few more and we can keep those Tenn. folk out of NC.

That location is the road right at the rafting/kayaking put-in site for the middle Ocoee, one of the most rafted sections of river in the country.
