Carolina Stompers web site hacked; Stompers say ‘liberals will do anything to squelch freedom of speech’

Share

The Carolina Stompers web site was hacked this week, and they didn’t even know it until an Asheville Citizen-Times reporter called them to ask them about it. Interesting.

Here’s some of the Stompers’ response:

We are not surprised. Liberals will do anything to squelch freedom of speech. We are leaving the words and picture that this coward left on our website. …

The Carolina Stompers believes you should not be a servant to anyone and we elect presidents to serve the people. This cowardly hacker is just another brainwashed Democrat and will be prosecuted when found.

Here’s the message the hackers put up on the Stompers’ site:

Special note from Chad: I would also like to point out the fact that I am not only an ignorant bigot, but I am THE downfall of this country. It’s my backwoods logic and completely skewed perception of reality that tells me that people pledging to create a better world to live in, not only for THEMSELVES but for Obama are LEFTEST TERRORISTS. Only TRUE terrorists would want to help children in other countries, or help stop this country from destroying itself. Only a true terrorist would actually pledge to help out their own president to make the country a better place. After all, isn’t that the definition of extremist?

Don’t you think that is a bit of a stretch, JT? The right to bear arms equals the right to run a crappy website? I guess you are literally correct, but it is also a lame comparison. One issue is covered by the Second Amendment – the other by the First. I am confident you know which one goes where. And I am also confident virtually no one pays any attention to carolinastompers.com. So much for Chad Nesbitt gaining many converts. In fact, he is just preaching to his own ultra-conservative choir.

Now, "monopolistic and evil"? That is interesting. I guess you didn’t pay any attention to eight-years of President Cheney, the Iraq War and his friends over at Haliburton. Why didn’t all these suddenly loud-mouthed "patriots" step-up then? Where was all the aggressive anger concerning runaway spending and record deficits related to an illegal war, tax breaks for the wealthiest 3%, the failure to fix healthcare/energy/education, etc? At least President Obama is targeting money in an effort to help John & Jane Q. Public have health insurance coverage as a right, not a priviledge. What’s truly crazy is that many of the same folks who stand to gain the most – still stand-up to interrupt these town hall meetings – just to derail real discussion and to get themselves on television. They are walking around like zombies, doing what the person next to them is doing. They just do not get it. Their loss of independent thinking may be due in large part to the unbridled encouragment and enthusiastic cheering by the Right Wing Media, which is obviously trying to create the illusion that this is some sort of massive, "grassroots" effort. That is a joke. It is also just really bad acting by amateurs.

And whenever the whole tea-baggin’, gun-totin’, Rush listenin’, FOX watchin’ crowd gets to talking about things like overthrowing the government – I get nervous. That is because I believe they just might be crazy enough to try. It makes me wonder whatever happened to "United We Stand"? I believe it was replaced by "Yes We Can", "Yes We Did" & "Be The Change". I feel the only thing Progressives will try to overthrow/change is blind ignorance, blatant cynicism and an antiquated America. "Yes It’s Time".

What was it that Hannibal from the A-Team said?

Jason Tomasin September 13, 2009 - 2:20 pm

Americans were given the right to bear arms. Do you know why? It was because We The People are given the right to overthrow our government when it becomes monopolistic and evil. It was the original reason that clause was added to the bill of rights.

And now, someone is just excersizing their digital arms. Go Chad!

Thank you, Reverend. Poor Chad and his hateful, crappy website being hacked. Nice security fellers! I guess you-ins out there in West Buncombe County ain’t so smart. And right-on for blaming "liberals" without any proof. That is all you can do. The only problem is our angry boy will be delighted by all this unwarranted attention. But then Chad & Don & Company are simply morons. They want Sarah Palin to be elected president in 2012. Just in case you had not heard, she believes the world was created six-thousand-years ago. There is so much more to talk about regarding The Crazy Lady and her frightening beliefs, but I think the aforementioned should be enough to convince sane people she is insane. So Carolina Stompers gets its ass kicked on-line. And that arrogant elephant with the tattoo and cigar logo seems especially limp-trunked right now. It is.

Considering how much conservatives love to play the martyr I’m guessing they posted this themselves so they could blame it on democrats. They may be out of ideas but they have a bucket full of chicanery. Who the hell are the Carolina Stompers anyway? Sounds like a little league team.

How do they know it was "liberals" who hacked their site? The way the right has been eating its own lately, I’d say there are plenty of candidates in their own ranks who might have spoofed Chad.

Reverend September 12, 2009 - 10:32 pm

The Carolina Stompers are quite possibly the worst group of people I’ve ever encountered in my life. Backwards logic. Constant hate speech filled with vitriol and racism. Always blaming everyone else for their own shortcomings. It is hard to even acknowledge their humanity, and it shames me to know those sort of persons reside here in beautiful Asheville.

Chad Nesbitt, Don Yelton and their lowbrow cohorts never fail to present themselves as the people even the Republican party would like to distance themselves from.

Any information you hear come from their mouths (or fingers) should be considered HIGHLY suspect.

Stay classy, Carolina Stompers.

Shows how much these idiots check/care about their own Web site. I wonder how many people actually visit the Stompers’ site? I’m going to say 10 a month tops.
