The Mountain Xpress Blogwire reports that four buildings at the intersection of Broadway and Merrimon Avenue recently sold for $2.4 million. The area has been a hotspot of development lately, and this sale could bode more.
From Blogwire:
Ever since Dinner for the Earth closed and reemerged as Earth Fare in Westgate Shopping Mall, the location has been un- or under-used — and for about 10 years, vacant.
No more: The four buildings, starting with the corner building, recently sold. Given the area’s growth — with Greenlife grocery, the Pioneer Building condos and, most recently, the Dripolator Coffee House — the four buildings are in a prime location, just past the I-240 underpass from the downtown core.
According to the Citizen-Times, which regularly publishes land transfers: 160, 164, 166 & 170 Broadway (Lots 8-15) were sold by Sandra F. and Daniel B. Sellers to Whiteside Fund LP for $2,450,000.
Listed tax values:
160 BROADWAY 897,900
164 BROADWAY 448,700
166 BROADWAY 397,100
170 BROADWAY 182,900
