Here’s more of what’s going around the ol’ blogosphere:
-The Innsider: There’s a new blog offering insider news about the Grove Park Inn. It’s called the Grove Park Innsider. First post is about ongoing roof repair work at the historic inn. Check it.
-Business bites the dust: @edgymama says on Twitter that Ace Appliance in West Asheville has closed after more than 50 years in business. Damn. Anybody have any details?
-Petty rides again: The annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America is coming back to Asheville. As I recall, Petty and several of his celebrity friends came through Asheville on this ride four or five years ago during Bele Chere. Good cause, good people. More:
The 16th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America is challenging community members along the 2010 Ride route to take part in a grassroots awareness and fundraising effort. The funds raised through the Charity Ride Dream Team Challenge will support Victory Junction, a year-round camp for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses and other children’s charities. Teams are encouraged to register at www.kylepettycharityride.com/dream_team.
