CMT has the news. This new Billy Graham movie is starting to create some buzz, although I haven’t heard much locally. The Charlotte Observer has written a couple of stories about it, and it’s big news in churches. Here’s the tidbit:
Sara Evans and Josh Turner will attend the world premiere of the Billy Graham biopic, Billy: The Early Years, in Nashville on Oct. 2. The movie will be released nationally on Oct. 10. Turner stars in the movie as George Beverly Shea. Other actors attending the premiere include Armie Hammer (Graham), Stefanie Butler (Ruth Bell Graham) and Kristoffer Polaha (young Charles Templeton) are also scheduled to attend the event, as will director Robbie Benson and soundtrack producer Anastasia Brown. As previously reported, Evans will release a song from the soundtrack, “Low,” as a single to country radio.
