Billy Corgan, kissed by a monkey sock

So you all know by now that Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins are in Ashvegas for a series of nine concerts at the Orange Peel. No media types have seemed to catch up with Billy yet, but he’s already been plying the streets of Ashvegas. Check out what he has to say about our humble home town.

On Friday morning, a bunch of us took to the streets of downtown Asheville to have a look around. According to BC, it only took about 30 seconds for someone to ask him if we wanted some “PB”-pure bud. Awesome. But it only gets better, a few moments after that, while walking down the street, someone else asked Billy if he would take a photo with his monkey sock (or something like that).
But in all honesty, the people that we’ve met in Asheville have been wonderful, and we’re just as excited to be here as they are to have us.

Glad to hear that the good citizens of Ashvegas are offering Billy their best smoke and getting him to pose with sock monkeys. (Yes, Billy, it’s “sock monkey.” As opposed to “monkey butter,” which you and Courtney used to make. Or “hot-monkey-butt-lovin’,” as the case may be.)
