Wild Wings Inc. at 161 Biltmore Ave. in Asheville has filed for bankruptcy, according to filings last month in federal bankruptcy court.
Just Wingin’ It, which does business as Wild Wings, reported a total debt of $1.6 million. The company owes more than $658,000 alone in withholding taxes to the IRS. The company owes the Asheville Citizen-Times more than $13,000 and the Mountain Xpress $3,500.
A company called Bilt Lex is connected to Just Wingin’ It and has also filed for bankruptcy. The company reported more than $2 million in total debt. Carolina First Bank declared that it was owed more than $1.5 million for money paid out for real property improvements to 161 Biltmore Ave.
The companies filed for Chapter 11, which allows for reorganization under bankruptcy laws.

Recently my wife and I ate there for lunch and had a wing sampler. Being so many we both skipped dinner only to be awakened by severe stomach cramps and sickness. Luckily our son did not eat any wings.
So here is the dirt. Some friends of ours ate there that same afternoon and had wings also. They also awoken to violent stomach pains and sickness.
Sounds like between the not so fresh food and the cigarette smoke that wanders into the dinning area it deserves to go under. Not a good fit for Asheville, maybe Candler.
As far as I know, the joint is still open; just trying to get their money straight.

Kip, you’re right, but I went with the paperwork filed in federal court. The court papers list the company name as Wild Wings Cafe.
