Auditions! Auditions! Auditions!  Broadway musical theatre veteran Stephan DeGhelder to hold auditions for Prime Ribbing, a social and political commentary and musical satire at The Altamont on 18 Church Street April 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. Callbacks April 5 from 6 – 9 p.m. This is a paid professional non-equity show.

Performance: Prime Ribbing.

First Rehearsal: To Be Announced.

Performances: May 27, 28, 29, and June 3, 4 ,5.

Audition Information

Location: The Altamont, 18 Church Street, Asheville, NC 28801.

Dates: April 4. Callbacks April 5.

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

We will see performers on a first-come, first-served basis during the audition time period.

Preparation

Prepare a comedic song. You may be asked to do a comedic monologue as well. No dancing required. Bring sheet music in your key. Bring photo and resume. Ethnic actors encouraged. 

Character Breakdowns/Description

Five singer/actors: 3M, 2F.

Age range:  20-45 years.

Must be versatile and able to handle musical and sketch comedy with abandon. The cast will occasionally portray some famous celebrities and political figures but this is NOT a show about impersonations! Should sing well, have comedic sense and ease in front of an audience.

Accompanist provided.
