Asheville’s Toubab Krewe to play Rothbury festival; will release ‘Live at the Orange Peel’ next month

Some big happenings for the funky Toubab Krewe of Asheville. The guys will be playing Rothbury, and their “Live at the Orange Peel” record will drop April 7.

Asheville’s dance-frenzy inducing instrumental quintet Toubab Krewe have announced they will be playing the second annual Rothbury festival this summer, which runs July 2-5. The group is featured on a jaw-dropping bill that includesBob Dylan, Broken Social Scene and King Sunny Ade, as well as The Dead’s only summer appearance and the String Cheese Incident’s onlyconcert in 2009. Already set to jam at Bonnaroo in June, Toubab Krewe continues to turn heads as they play some of this year’s most exciting summer concerts.
