Asheville’s public relations braintrust undergoing changes

As a member of the media, I follow the local public relations industry and its representatives pretty closely, as do lots of other folks. On that scene, most folks know that the city of Asheville’s top public relations person, Lauren Bradley, is preparing to give birth to a baby boy.

If you needed any photographic proof, here it is, in the form of a screen shot taken from the blog of local photographer Kristi Hedberg. As a photographer, I follow and admire her work, as well. it’s not here. See the update below, or go here.

But back to the news. With Bradley out on maternity leave, the city of Asheville has a bit of a void to fill. That’s because the city’s other top public relations spokeswoman, Laurie Saxton, has left her job.
There’s a lot happening in Asheville, and I’m sure the city government wants to serve the public in answering information requests, while presenting a unified front (or message). We’ll have to watch and see how the city handles it all.

Best wishes to Lauren and her family.
