Press release here:
For the third year in a row, Asheville radio station Kiss Country (WKSF) is announcing a special acoustic concert to raise money for Mission Children’s Hospital. Held each year live at The Orange Peel, the Guitar Jam brings top Nashville artists to Asheville to benefit a great cause.
Each year Kiss Country music director Brian Hatfield starts working on the year’s line-up almost as soon as the previous year’s show is over. Last year’s show raised almost twenty-five thousand dollars for Mission Children’s Hospital. The hope, of course, is to raise even more this year.
The show brings together many talented Nashville stars for an all-acoustic show with an intimate, in-the-round feel. Artists play individually, taking time to chat with the audience and discuss their music. They also invite other performers from the evening’s show on stage with to play with them, offering the audience a unique, one-of-a-kind concert experience.
This year rather than announcing the line-up all at once, Kiss Country wants to build excitement by announcing each artist individually over the course of a week. The artist announcements will begin Monday, September 27th, and go through Friday, October 8th.
The Guitar Jam will be live at The Orange Peel on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:30. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 27th at noon. Tickets are thirty-five dollars in advance at The Orange Peel box office. There will also be a limited number of special VIP tickets for $150 that include special seating, a VIP dinner, a meet-and-greet with the artists, and other commemorative items.
