Nope, there really isn’t anything new under the sun these days. Asheville’s Beer Guy, Tony Kiss, recently wrote about a new shampoo called Broo, made from local craft beer. That prompted loyal reader bb to send me a link to the classic commercial above, starring a young Kim Bassinger.

Yeah man..as a kid back in the late 70s/early 80s, I remember watching my Grandmother (who was a lifelong Southern Baptist and native of these mountains) wash her hair every once in a while with Budweiser, It was the most surreal juxtaposition of this sweet little old lady in her bathroom scrubbing suds with Bud.
However, she probably would not have put the stuff to her lips even if you had her at gunpoint.
