Asheville TMZ: Moby dines at Plant restaurant

Here’s the note from loyal reader Leslie of Plant, an awesome vegan restaurant here in Asheville:

Hi Jason,

Hope you are doing good. Imagine you are enjoying Moogfest!

We were so excited to have Moby join us yesterday for lunch and dinner. Thought you might be interested! I wrote a little bit about his visit on our facebook page and copied it below. Photo is attached.

Hope you are able to go to some of the shows. We all wish we could enjoy – especially Moby’s show – but of course we are all working all weekend.

Moby and Shannon, his assistant, came in for lunch and they brought his band and crew back for dinner. Moby was as nice as he could be, down to earth, gracious, and complimentary. We had a great conversation about the growing consciousness regarding a compassionate diet and his efforts to effect this change. We also discussed Forks Over Knives (he wants everyone to see this important film!) and his fondness for vegan ice cream (he seemed to really really enjoy Jason’s banana macadamia nut ice cream and the black out pie it was served with). Thanks again to Moby for supporting Plant and for all the work he does to make the world a better place. Oh, and of course that includes bringing so much joy to all of us with his music! 🙂 Moby – you’re the best!
