Asheville space-rock band to release all-new original soundtrack for ‘Night of the Living Dead’

From Asheville band Silver Machine’s IndieGogo campaign to create a soundtrack meant to be played along with the classic horror film to distribute a re-release of the George Romero classic with a new score of their original music:

Greetings, people of Earth!

We are Silver Machine, a Space Rock band from Asheville, NC.  Today we are excited to present to you our latest work, a project first conceived of several years ago.  After hundreds of hours in the studio over the last 8 months we are almost done, but we need your help to finish production and share it with the world.

“Silver Machine: Night of the Living Dead” is scheduled for an October 1, 2012 release.  It features an all-new original soundtrack complementing George Romero’s 1968 cult classic film.  This is the highest quality picture ever released on DVD, and everyone who pledges $25 to our IndieGoGo campaign will receive it in time for Halloween festivities!

From band member Anthony: “The picture quality is also markedly improved over other copies of the film currently circulating on DVD. The soundtrack itself is also being released separately on CD as a standalone album.”

Perks for supporters include VIP passes to the local cinema premiere, a private showing, and even a “Summon Silver Machine” full band performance at your house.

Twenty-nine days to go. Learn more here.

Thanks for the write-up! Just to clarify- this isn’t merely a soundtrack to be played along with the film, but a re-release of the film itself with an all new soundtrack by Silver Machine. The picture quality is also markedly improved over other copies of the film currently circulating on DVD. The soundtrack itself is also being released separately on CD as a standalone album. Cheers!

Thanks, Anthony. I’ve made the correction!
