Asheville Planning and Zoning Commission to hold retreat Thursday, will talk about Downtown Master Plan

The Asheville Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a planning retreat from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Grove Arcade’s conference room on Thursday, March 19.

The group will talk about the much-anticipated Downtown Master Plan, including background, need for plan and process, strategy and overview and plan organization. Looks like there will be a walking tour, too:

 

Agenda

 

Overview of the Downtown Master Plan including review and PowerPoint presentations along with on-site walking tour of specific areas in Downtown.  Included in the presentations are the following items:

 

1.     Background review; overview of the need for the Downtown Master Plan and process.

2.     Strategy overview and Downtown Master Plan organizations.

3.     Strategy 4 & 5 for the Downtown Master Plan.
