News from Asheville Grown, Asheville’s alliance of local independent businesses: Its loyalty-card program raised $13K for local schools and organizations in its first year.
From the Asheville Grown summer newsletter:
We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s Love Asheville – Go Local card has raised over $13,000 for our public schools and non-profits!
We’re looking to double the number of participants for 2013! Want to join in the fun? Look for an easy to fill out form online coming in a couple of weeks. If you’re already a Love Asheville Go Local Card partner, no need to take action at this point, you will receive a letter in the near future confirming you’d like to be with us for another year or giving you the opportunity to change your offer or participation for 2013.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Miranda Bailey atmiranda@acsf.org.
Huge thanks to the Love Asheville – Go Local card partners and the following schools and non-profits:
Vance Elementary
Claxton Elementary
Hall Fletcher Elementary
Jones Elementary
Isaac Dixon Elementary

Go Local cards cost $15 and offer local discounts and special members-only offers. $10 from the sale of each card supports the Asheville City Schools Foundation’s Equity Fund and Parent Teams at participating local schools. The remaining $5 goes towards the cost of producing the cards and to the efforts of Asheville Grown.
