Here’s the skinny, from deadlinefilm.com:

The Asheville Premiere of Deadline, the new movie starring Steve Talley and Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, will be Wednesday, Feb 22nd. Hosted by The Asheville Citizen-Times, the premiere will benefit the YWCA of Asheville.

“We’re proud to host the premiere of Deadline in partnership with the YWCA. It’s a powerful example of investigative journalism serving public interest, with two reporters solving a cold case civil rights murder,” said President and Publisher Randy Hammer. “We hope to raise a significant sum for the YWCA in support of their Stand Against Racism efforts this April.”

The YWCA of Asheville’s mission is eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

PS I’ve noticed that any of the pr hasn’t focused on purchasing tickets from the website. The theater actually isn’t involved with a box office. If you plan to attend, go to deadlinefilm.com/asheville and purchase online in advance… remember, event benefits YWCA and sponsored by Asheville Citizen-Times
