Here’s a way-cool workshop for all you Ashvegas starving artists. Stop starving and start selling:

Selling Your Art, Selling Yourself

Workshop presented by the Mountain BizWorks’ Artist Alliance

(Asheville, NC) – Are you an artist that needs help in getting your work out there, then this is the workshop for you. Mountain BizWorks’ Artist Alliance will host Selling Your Art, Selling Yourself: Successful Sales Techniques & Booth Displays on July 23rd at 6 pm in the Grove Arcade Conference room.

The workshop will cover topics of interest and relevance to both visual and performing artists. These subjects include:

-Finding your ideal venue & how to choose your show
-Easy booth design for wholesale, retail and showcase venues
-Sales techniques & fearlessly approaching customers
-How to price artwork
-Regional and national booking conferences for performing artists

The Artist Alliance has garnered some of the top names in visual and performing arts, marketing, and business to lead workshops. Selling Your Art will be facilitated by Melinda Knies, Gallery Manager of Mountain Made; Dawn Dalto, Artist, Assistant Director to Odyssey Gallery, and owner of Artist Wrangler which offers support services to artists; and John Lloyd, owner and operator of Loyd Artists, Inc. who has been encouraging and supporting knowledge of performing arts for over 30 years.

Reservations are required due to limited seating. The cost is $25 which includes light finger food. Space will fill up quickly; please contact Naomi, 253-2834 ext. 27 or naomi@mountainbizworks.org to make reservations by July 18th.

The Artist Alliance is in its fourth year of producing quarterly Artist Seminar Series workshops which are designed for WNC artists to provide assistance and opportunities to develop successful business skills. The Artist Seminar Series is hosted and sponsored by Mountain BizWorks with the support of the Asheville Area Arts Council and Arts 2 People.

The Mountain BizWorks mission is to provide entrepreneurs with access to business instruction, professional support, and loans; which in turn, help create and sustain successful businesses that grow the economy of Western North Carolina.
