Reports: Duke star J.J. Redick charged with DWI
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Duke standout J.J. Redick was arrested early Tuesday on charges of driving while impaired, according to court records.
Redick, 21, was also charged with unlawful use of highways and his drivers license was revoked for 30 days, according to records cited in several published reports.
A message left with the spokeswoman for the Durham Police Department on Tuesday was not immediately returned.
Redick was released on bond shortly after being taken before a Durham County magistrate. He is scheduled to appear in a court July 17.
Redick, the Associated Press Player of the Year last season, finished his career as the leading scorer in Atlantic Coast Conference history and setting the NCAA career for 3-pointers made. He was named the conference player of the year after averaging nearly 27 points a game.
Redick is expected to be a high first-round pick in the June 28 NBA Draft.

Restless, i don’t know from frontal lobes. i do know that, but for the grace of God, there go i. yes, we all make mistakes. but i still can’t help buy glory in the downfall of an arrogant dookie.

I thought you’d give J.J. more shit but in the end, when you’re 21, your frontal lobe isn’t done cooking and you make some REALLY dumb decisions. Most of us don’t have to play the consequences out in the public eye – at least i didn’t. I fell kind of bad for the guy. Kind of. At least he wasn’t stupid enough to ride his motorcyle without a helmet. YIKES.
